Your information

Your profile.
Your choice.

Here is how information is used on the BCON community website.

Your account

Clerk manages sign-up, sign-in and your account email address. BCON links your account to the profile you create. Account information is not included in the member directory.

Your member profile

Your profile starts private. If you choose to publish it, other signed-in members can see your name, photo, role, organisation, sector, region, introduction and any website or LinkedIn links you add. You can hide it again by unticking the publication option on your profile page.

Please avoid putting personal contact details or confidential information in your introduction. Other members can read published profiles, so only share information you are comfortable making available to them.

Optional research answers

Business turnover, employee numbers, years in business, age band and AI use are optional. These answers are stored separately and are not returned to the member directory. They are saved only if you agree to their use for BCON research reported in aggregate. Unticking that agreement and saving your profile clears your saved research answers.

Event interest

Registering interest connects your account to that event. You can withdraw interest from your profile, even if the event has finished or is no longer listed. You can also withdraw on a published event page. An expression of interest is separate from confirmation of attendance.

Storage and services

The application uses Cloudflare for hosting, database records and uploaded profile photos, and Clerk for authentication. Member photos are served through authenticated routes. The website uses the session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Questions, corrections or removal

You can update your profile yourself. For requests about accessing or removing your information, contact the BCON team at admin@tgf.global.
